VintageMoriage Vase with Twisted Body, Single Handle Hand-Painted Nippon? Thisbeautiful hand-painted heavy Moriage Ewer/Vase features a single finger handleand exquisite twisted/scalloped body. The dark green background is highlighted with various blue and greenbeads/dots and pink, green, dark blue and maroon swirls. The base is 3" in diameter; the twisted/scallopedbody of the vase is 5" in diameter and the vase stands about 8 1/2 tall.

Hand-painted scalloped cartouches on oppositesides of the vase display bouquets of flowers in rose, blue, lavender and peachcolors with delicate greenery. The restof the vase body including the neck of the spout and scalloped base is coveredwith heavy colorful beads, swirls and patterns. This vase isin excellent condition for its age with no cracks or crazing - just normal wearcommensurate with its old age and use. Unmarked on the base, but suspect that this piece is Nippon.
