Presenting an exquisite vintage Australian pottery twin handled vase produced by Hoffman Brick and Tile Company as a part of their Melrose Ware range circa 1930s. This exceptional large-sized example has a stylish Art Deco twin handled form finished in a striking green and blue drip glaze which displays a subtle iridescence. The layers of colour spill over the elegantly curved form, blending and combining to create a stunning range of tones and random glaze effects. Two elongated handles beautifully link the rim of the vessel to the wide body creating a harmoniously balanced unified form which beautifully displays the stunning glaze.

An outstanding addition to any vintage Australian pottery or Melrose Ware collection and a delightful feature for any Art Deco styled home! EXCEPTIONALLY IMPRESSIVE VINTAGE MELROSE POTTERY VASE. SIZE: This impressive piece stands approx 135mms tall and measures 220mms in width. This substantial piece weighs 1.285 kgs unpackaged.

CONDITION: This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some overall crazing which is most noticeable to the cream interior where light staining accentuates its presence.

There are a couple of small chatters to glaze around the edge of the base created in the manufacturing process as the piece was removed from the kiln but mentioned for complete accuracy. This stunning example has been very well cared for and presents magnificently. MARKS: This is an unmarked example which was undoubtedly produced by Hoffman as a part of their Melrose Ware series.
