Antique Bohemian Amphora Royal Dux Art Deco 2 Handles Vase. Stamped with blue triangle stamp & acorn inside the triangle + letters DPM (Duxer Porzellain Manufacture) - letters slightly erased. Also has black number D 104-40.
1918 Art Deco period under Czechoslovakian Government. The shape of the vase has typical Art Deco style with art deco raised rose color medallion pattern on both sides and geometrical column-like dark green, red, yellow & white patterns around the vase on the bottom. It is in beautiful light green stained glaze. Small cheap on one handle & almost unnoticeable lack of glaze on very bottom.Porcelain production was introduced to Bohemia in 1794. First Bohemian porcelain production was in Carlsbad (Karlovy Vari) & Teplitz as kaolin deposits were found there.
In the end of 19th century Dux beautiful exquisite items were well known and widely brought all over Europe, Russia and North America. X Diameter bottom 3" x Diameter top 2.5".
Height 25 cm x Width 16 cm handle to handle x Diameter bottom 7.6 cm x Diameter top 6.3 cm. Small manufacture imperfection/cheap on one handle & almost unnoticeable lack of glaze on very bottom (see last 2 pictures).
