Lenox Porcelain Classic Yellow Art Deco Pair of Handled Vases Rare 1940's

  

I'm pleased to offer this pair of porcelain vases by Lenox in the Classic Yellow pattern. Each vase measures approximately 7 3/4" in height and 3 3/4" wide.

They are marked with the green L in the wreath mark, and Lenox, Made in USA. This particular mark was used from 1930 until 1953. This color combination, ivory with yellow, is pretty rare; this is the first time I've seen it in 25 years of collecting.

I found a slender note tucked on one vase that says the pair of vases was given to Edward and Hildred Randall at their wedding. I found a couple with this name married in 1943 in Connecticut. I think the note has been in there for these last 80 years!

The pair is in great condition with no chips or cracks. One vase has some surface marks on the base. Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking!
