A familiar, iconic item from the art deco period is the fluted glass biscuit box on a mirror tray, which was passed around after a meal or for an afternoon snack. This one has a round glass box that is fluted on all sides, with a ribbed aluminium lid, a half-moon wooden knob and a handle for ease of carrying.

The glass box measures 6 3/8 inches in diameter (16.2 cms) and is 3 inches (7.5 cms) high. It is in perfect condition - no chips, no cracks and no fissures. The lid is also in very good condition with very minor traces of wear.

The mirror tray has a circular aluminium frame with round end knobs - all in very good condition with very minor traces of use. The tray measures 7 5/8 inches in diameter (19.4 cms) to the outside edge of the frame. It sits on four chrome buttons and stands 7 inches high to the top of the handle. It is a very handsome biscuit ensemble often found on a sideboard that is in exceptionally good condition. Vintage and antique objects have lived and been used and because of that, they sometimes show it.
