Have nothing in your houses that you do not consider to be beautiful or useful. French Art Deco Coffee/Tea Service by Ercuis - "Saigon" Model - 1934. One of the most iconic coffee and tea services of the 1930's -by the famous French silversmith company Ercuis - is the "Saigon" model, created in 1934 and produced until 1937. All pieces are heavily silverplated with macassar ebony handles/knobs.

The coffee pot measures 7 ¼ inches high to the top of the knob and is 3 ¾ inches in diameter. The tea pot is 6 ½ inches high and 4 ½ inches in diameter. The cream/milk jug is 3 ¼ inches high and 2 ½ inches in diameter. The lidded sugar bowl is 4 ¼ inches high and 3 7/8 inches in diameter.

It comes with an elegant art deco tray by François Frionnet from the 1930's, since the set's original owners replaced it, deciding that the Ercuis tray was too large and too heavy. This tray measures 12 ¼ inches wide by 16. Inches long with no handles and 21.

Inches long with the handles. All pieces are in very good condition, with very faint traces of surface wear and the pots' interiors are perfectly clean, ready to be used. Finding a complete Ercuis "Saigon" coffee and tea service in very good condition, is rare as most of them became family heirlooms.

Ercuis along with Christofle was and still is one of the two major silversmith companies in France and known for its exceptional tableware. Vintage and antique objects have lived and been used and because of that, they sometimes show it. The condition of the object is described as accurately as possible, including its character flaws. But that is really part of the attraction and enjoyment of an old piece. Please verify the package upon receipt and inform the postal authorities of any damage.

The item must be sent back in the same condition and in the same packaging.
