Fabulous Art Deco Era Lawrence B. Smith Boston 6 Piece Silverplate Tea Set

  
For your consideration is an antique six piece Art Deco era silver plated coffee and tea set by Lawrence B. The sleek and understated styling of this set with its sharp angular handles, decorative finials, and smooth lines are design elements of the Art Deco movement that was all the rage in the 1920s & 30s. 14 Tilting Spirit or Water Kettle on a designated stand with burner (Not by the same silversmith, but compliments the set nicely). The tilting kettle and burner was manufactured by Meriden Silver Co. And is newer than the other pieces but is included as it compliments the set beautifully as a whole. The burner contains no fluid and the wick is clean and likely unused. It has not been tested and is not guaranteed to be functional. The condition of the set is good to very good overall with each piece showing minor dings, light wear to the silver plating, in particular on the edges of the handles and peaks of the decorative ridges.

These are not distracting or immediately noticeable when the set is at high polish. Otherwise, the set is in beautiful vintage condition and presents itself well.

The interiors are clean and in good repair and each piece is signed with the company's hallmark on the base. Wear is commensurate to age and a history of use, so please regard the photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing.
