Art Deco Roseville Pottery Orian Spherical Lamp #274-6. Offering a spectacular Art Deco pottery vase by Roseville in a berry or light burgundy with turquoise blue handles and a black ray pattern around the edge of the bowl emanating from the rim. It has a pot metal base and fittings.
The fittings are loose so I was able to peek at the bottom. There is a hole in the base where it was drilled for a lamp.It appears to be unsigned or perhaps the mark was removed when it was drilled. Nevertheless, it is undeniably Roseville both from the colors and the shape, which can be seen at the top of page 105 of Sharon and Bob Huxford's The Collector's Encyclopedia of Roseville Pottery , First Edition. The pottery alone measures about 6"h and 8 1/2"w from handle to handle and the lamp has an overall height of 20 and weight of about 5lbs.
The pottery is in excellent condition with no apparent chips, cracks or signs of damage. The item "Art Deco Roseville Pottery Orian Spherical Lamp #274-6 Berry Turquoise Handles" is in sale since Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
