Antique Rare Armor Mesh Silver Purse with Chain Handle and Tassel

  

Antique Silver Armor Mesh Little Purse, 1920's Art Deco Style. It is probably by Mandalian Mfg Co but I do not see the name of the company. There is a little round mirror in the cover of the purse. The frame features hinged cover with built-in mirror, it is hinged, and it is decorated with the engraved florals with a beautiful sapphire cabochon clasp. The cover fits well and latches tightly.

The mesh is securely fastened to the round frame, no holes. There is some discoloring of the mesh in 2 spots, please see the photos. Dimension of the purse: top dia 2.5 in, drop of the chain /handle/ 5 in, length from top to the bottom without tassel 4.5 length with tassel 6.5 in.

These bags were very popular from the mid 1800's through 1920's. I will answer any questions to the best of my knowledge so please, do not hesitate to ask for details.
