An extremely rare and very stunning Shelley Art Deco 12109/8 Queen Anne tulip handle bread & butter plate. Pattern number 12109/8: Solid blue ground colour on small panels. Ivory ground on large panels. Tulip handle (on tea cups). Entered in pattern book during or after 1932.
The shape of the tea set that this plate originates from is the Queen Anne floral handle shape which is very seldom seen. The back stamp is the 1925-40 green cartouche mark. Dimensions: 240mm (9.5 inches) by 206mm (8.1 inches).Condition: In excellent clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratching or any signs of wear. Paintwork is all in good order with no fading to the pattern. The plate has an excellent true sound to it when lightly tapped. Please note that we are experienced packers of pottery and fine bone china, this item will securely packaged, wrapped with plenty of bubble wrap and secured with flo pack chippings to ensure it's safe arrival.
