The bowl is done very much in the Art Deco style of the time to which it dates. The bowl is sturdy and well constructed, made from thick, heavy gauge silver, with solid silver handles. The bowl has a bright mirror finish. This piece is hallmarked on the underside with the lion passant for sterling silver, the city mark for Chester, the date letter m for 1937, and the maker's mark for S. This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. Please note that the lines seen in the bowl of photo number 2 are due to reflection of the seam of the photo tent. The bowl is beautifully unmarked and gleaming.
