1930 Art Deco Gebr. Mehner Egyptian Revival Pyramid Porcelain Pierced Frame Tray

  

Up for sale is a. Rare beautiful antique 1930s Art Deco Egyptian Revival era porcelain tray featuring pierced metal work, two handles, and a large tile with a stylized picture of Pyramid, palms, camel, and bedouins. The porcelain is stamped with Gebruder Mehner marking which consists of the letters G. With an owl between the two letters, Made In Czechoslovakia underneath the owl along with number 845.

The factory was founded in 1887 in Eulau /now Jilove/ near Bodenbach, Bohemia and the owners were Emil Mehner, Franz Mehner and Otto Mehner. Condition: There are rare some flakes / nicks on the glaze of porcelain, shown on photos.

Metal surface shows rust, commensurate with age. Please, be sure to view all photos carefully as they are included as part of the item description. 18 1/2'' x 9 3/4'.
