For your consideration is an unique and beautiful English Art Pottery Piece. Three handle cup aka loving cup or tyg (tig), large English pottery mug with three or more handles dividing the rim into sections for several drinkers, traditionally used at meeting, banquets or weddings to symbolize unity and friendship. Flowers in relief decoration with amazing red, blue, and green dripping glazes covering the entire piece. Elton is known for his highly distinctive shapes, and later, from around 1900, his craquelé glazes using liquid platinum and gold, which achieved great success at the St Louis Exhibition of 1904 and were marketed by Tiffany & Co. Valuable and unique, Elton Ware pieces are part of British Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum ceramic collections, among other. 7" tall x 7.5" spout to handle x 6.5" diameter without the handles x 8" diameter with the handles.
