Up on offer here is this very impressive heavy Iconic cast bronze French 1930s Empire two-handled Urn shaped table lamp with vintage luxury silk braided panelled bell shade. Very fine statement piece of genuine French period lighting with a lot of presence.

Weighing 14LB, very impressive Iconic piece. Standing on a raised octagonal socle plinth with all-round cast panels and original brass cable grommet. Very ornate base capital with deep relief cornice and heavy belt of acanthus leaves. Heavy cast bronze urn shaped torso with upper roman deep relief decorative border. Beautiful human head bust morph solid cast bronze handles.

Heavy Bell shaped neck with upper staged graduated canopy. Original 1930s bronze switched Bayonet fit bulb holder with cross bar lateral on / of switch mechanism. Original Luxury traditional Handmade scalloped premium bespoke trimmed shade, with beautiful matching Silk tasseled pompoms, decorated with pink silk floral braid, and silk embroidered upper band, Ecru lined with panelled wire frame. Original 1920s MK three round pin brown Bakelite plug with early cord grip design.

Lamp is professionally re-wired in period-match three-core silk braided twist cable, earthed, tested, and in perfect working order. For dimensions, please see images.
