Here for your consideration is a stunning AYNSLEY teacup and saucer set that was made in England. Both pieces are white and decorated with yellow. The handle is the shape of a beautiful gold gilt insect butterfly. Not often do you find the butterfly in the solid gold colour. Both the tulip shaped cup and saucer are trimmed with gold gilt. The back stamp is that of John Aynsley & Sons, Longton, England and dates c.

The cup measures approximately 2 1/8 (5.5 cm) high and 3 1/8 (8 cm) in diameter at the top not including the handle. The saucer is 5 1/2 (14 cm) in diameter.

This has been a display set only. No chips, cracks, or repairs. No wear to the gold gilt and no crazing. As these are vintage goods, manufacturing imperfections do occur. Please review the photos for condition and feel free to contact me for more photos or questions.
